With the U=U message, we are at the top of the HIV endgame

Some of you might wonder what U=U is. Basically, it is Undetectable = Untransmittable in Full.
This simply means when someone who is living with HIV, he or she when is on effective treatment and maintains an undetectable viral load he or she will never pass on the virus sexually to his or her negative partner.
Several scientific studies have proven this, including HPTN052, Partner 1 & 2, and Opposites Attract. Many scientists support this message, including Dr. Anthony Fauci, who serves as director of the National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases (NIAID) and even international civil society organizations, such as UNAIDS and the Center for Disease Control (CDC).
With this message, I am confident that we are at the top of the HIV endgame since it is improving the lives of people living with HIV around the world, as well as for the general public. The message calls for the availability of treatment to all, viral load testing, and the ending of stigma, discrimination, and criminalization.
In conclusion, I would like to say that if our countries adopt this life-changing message, we can eliminate HIV as a public threat by 2030.
